"We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate."
- Thomas Jefferson
When creating or changing policy, our elected officials must make tough decisions that may impact our ability to help close the hunger gap in North Texas. Faced with decisions that can impact millions of people, they are counting on hunger-fighters to help provide them with accurate and timely information.
The advocacy program at North Texas Food Bank protects our ability to help close the hunger gap through active hunger policy engagement. By connecting our partner agencies, community leaders, those with lived experiences, and our advocates we become a strong united voice to fight against hunger.
